Running Away Again, and Again

When those moments mesh together, of kid and trout, and strange memories left in their little minds….those are the good things we go back to. The back story of messy parenting, teadiously packing the car and rocks thrown in fishy places disappear with this moment exploring together.

Remember flinging river slime, filling buckets for frogs, river-side picnics and taking turns watching a fin dive back to it’s home. Forget the long car drives, the school homework, the plans we need to make or the worries of the world. I’ll fish for a bit and we’ll play for a while. Lets runaway here again, and again, and again, together. Let’s call the river our home.
