Most Influential Blogger Award

I understand this is not the golden globes, but I am going to pretend like it is for a minute. Picture me, looking out at my audience, wearing a glorious gown that is way to puffy for my body type and overly accessorized, saying:

I started blogging four months ago for a few reasons- but one of them was because my best friends live far away and my adventures were so funny to me that I felt like I had to tell someone (awkward part first). However, ultimately my goal is to make people laugh, spur them on towards adventure and to realize that you don’t have to be a professional anything to enjoy the outdoors- if an awkward mom can do it, you can too. So this award means a lot to me because I do want to be an inspiration! Thank you!!!

I want to thank my friends and family for encouraging me (this is where I choke up for a second) and my inspirational English teacher from High School, Mariane Love (her blog: Slight Detour).

Stalking the Seam…This blog is one of my absolute favorites. Its fly fishermen/fathers out seeking to find the best waters while also seeking to be the best family guys.

Buttoni’s Low Carb Recipes ….I just found this blog the other day and loved the recipes. It inspires me towards not eating junk.

 

My song I am supposed to share:

This is my favorite song at the moment (as in ‘today’ because I change every day and have weird songs that I enjoy), and music video actually, because this is how I party. If I could fish all day then party like this at night (with my family there too), it would be the perfect day (maybe steak and lobster for dinner in between- I’m a foodie). When I think about God and the freedom I have experienced through his love in my life, I just want to jump around. I think that is why I love being in streams and surrounded by nature- it feels like it is God’s way of telling me not to forget he is there and he has made all things new in time. The outdoors is sometimes my church and the campfire dance party is where I like to let it go. “Come on. It’s time to look up”….
